| Bio: | I was born in Panarama City, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. I lived in Southern California for basically the first twelve or so years of my life. The last few of those years being on a farm on the edge of the Mojave desert in the little town of Weldon, California.
When I was twelve my family moved to Kitsap County, Washington, where my father had a job lined up to work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. I finished growing up in a town across the water from PSNS, called Port Orchard. When I graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1985 I swore that I would go to college and do something exciting with my life. About a year and a half later I was crossing my fingers hard that I would get my own job at PSNS and was hired and have lived in the area ever since.
I hired in as an Air Conditioning Equipment apprentice and graduated as a Journeyman four years later. Because of job reassignments and opportunities that happened, I worked my way through the insulator shop, then as a Hazardous Materials Planner and Manager. Then in 1999 I hit the big time when I was hired on a an Emergent Work Planner. This is the job I've been doing ever since.
In 1987 I attended my first event for the Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA, Inc.). It was an event known as 'June Faire' and was held at the Frank Raab Community Park in Poulsbo, WA. I was so amazed by that event that I abandoned all other thought and became an SCA Zombie. :-) |
